- OTP stands for One-Time Password, and it’s for your eyes only: Don’t share your OTP with anyone, regardless of who they claim to be. Paga will never ask for your OTP via call, text, or chat.
- Card details are confidential: This includes your card number, CVV code and expiry date. Don’t share them with anyone for any reason.
- Login details are like your toothbrush – personal and non-transferable: Don’t share your username, password, or any other login credentials with anyone. Paga will never ask for your login information outside the secure app environment.
Verification and Upgrades:
- BVN (Bank Verification Number) is super private: We understand the importance of your BVN, and we’ll never ask for it via call or text. The verification process happens entirely within the Paga app.
- Upgrade security, not your vulnerability: Upgrading your account might involve verification, but we’ll never ask for your BVN via call or text.

Unfortunately, there are individuals who try to impersonate legitimate companies to steal personal information or money. Here’s how to stay safe:

- If in doubt, don’t give it out: If someone claiming to be from Paga asks for your PIN, OTP, login details, BVN, NIN, or any other sensitive information, do not provide it. It’s a scam!
